Rose Days At The Fresno District Fair
Rose Days at the Fresno District Fair were held on October 16 and October 17. October 16 was miniature entries only. All other entries were judged on October 17.

Rose Days at the Fair were held in the Wine and Roses Building.

Three stems of Pacesetter, a white miniature, won best miniature exhibit on Friday. Paul Matney of the San Joaquin Valley Rose Society was the exhibitor.


Popcorn, a white miniature was another miniature exhibit


Dale Docken, a member of the San Joaquin Valley Rose Society making a hybrid tea entry.


Else Poulsen is a medium pink floribunda


Permanent Wave is a medium red floribunda


China Doll is a medium pink polyantha


George Burns is a yellow blend floribunda


New Year is an orange blend grandiflora


Green Rose, is an old garden rose from the China class. It has no petals and the green sepals form it's bloom.


Altissimo is a medium red large flowered climber


A novice won the Best Rose entry on Saturday with this red hybrid tea


Dona Starr of the San Joaquin Valley Rose Society won the Best Rose Arrangement
